M SERIES: KICKERS FOR PVC FOAM

 

General

* M Series liquid kickers are typically used for synthetic leather, shoe uppers, and plastisol applications.

* Kickers work by lowering the decomposition temperature of the blowing agent.
Modstab M67 and Modstab M68 provide both, foaming and heat stabilizing effect in varying proportions.

* Modstab kickers disperse easily and have good compatibility with the PVC master batch, resulting in a
uniform cellular structure and excellent foam density.

Storage
PVC heat stabilizers should be stored in a clean, dry place. The used drums must be kept tightly sealed and in a cool, hygienic environment.

Applications

M Series kickers differ in their effect on the rate of decomposition of the blowing agent. Selecting the right PVC kicker for your process involves factors such as oven length, time-temperature profile, etc.

Dosage
For best results we recommend same amount of kicker as the blowing agent (1:1).
If exceptionally high thermal long-term stability of the PVC compound is required, we recommend the addition of epoxidized oils
